Stewart and Anna-Claire Cusick are Reach Beyond UK’s newest missionaries who will be serving in Ecuador with local ministry partner Voz y Manos (Voice and Hands).
Stewart is an engineer who will oversee water and sanitation projects (WASH), and Anna-Claire is a doctor who will coordinate the medical caravans.
We asked them about this new adventure… and this is what they said.
Q: You’ve served in Ecuador before, why go back this time with Reach Beyond?
Reach Beyond has a long history with Ecuador and we felt that, due to your ministry’s experience in medical and WASH projects, you would be the organisation best equipped to enable us to use our skills to serve those who don’t yet know Jesus.
Q: What are you most looking forward to when you return?
We are excited to get back and get moving on with our ideas and vision for the future. We are also looking forward to re-joining the team at Voz y Manos. They are more like family than work colleagues to us!
Q: What difference do you hope to make?
We hope to be able to make a difference in the lives of those we serve with our medical and WASH interventions, but we also know that it is as important to simply build relationships and share the love of Christ both with our voices and our hands.
Q: What is your biggest need right now?
Now our biggest need is raising a sufficient support network to return to Ecuador, both financially and spiritually.
Q: How can we pray for you?
Please pray for our newest family member. Erin Faye was born at the end of June and is such a blessing to us! Please pray that we will be able to get all her documentation sorted in time to return to Ecuador by the end of August.
