This is how gifts to Reach Beyond’s radio projects in Africa are impacting lives in more ways than we can imagine - even the lives of non-Christian broadcasters like Adama.
Adama is a Fulani presenter at Shalom Radio, a Christian station in Kabala, Sierra Leone. This is a small town with over 18,000 people where the majority are Fulani Muslims.
Our workers, supported by the generosity and prayers of supporters, helped to launch this station.
Shalom Radio is dedicated to reaching people with the gospel by broadcasting a wide range of programmes. And thanks to its witness, small groups of local Fulani are following Christ.
Some time ago, Adama started to work at Shalom Radio as a community programmes broadcaster. She is passionate about radio and is faithfully producing her programme that is enjoyed by the listeners.
But there is more to her story. The love and support she has received from her Christian colleagues made something shift in her heart. It has led her on a journey towards Jesus.
“Working at Shalom Radio has given me a deeper sense of belonging because of how my Christian colleagues have accepted me” she said.
Recently Adama has joined a church choir, and has asked her Christian colleagues to pray that God will help her to make a commitment to follow Christ for the rest of her life.
Adama’s story is just a small part of how God is using a community Christian Radio station in the remote town of Kabala to lead people to Christ.
