Reach for Water PRAY

Pray for Countries

Water projects have recently been completed in Ecuador, Central Asia, Ghana and other countries in West Africa. A project in Nepal has been surveyed in a community severely affected by the earthquake in April 2015.

Please pray that:

  • The spiritual ‘Water of Life’ would flow to those who have never heard.

  • Local churches and believers would be strengthened to share the gospel.

  • People would be released from the poverty trap and injustices that so often prevent people from having access to basic needs such as clean water and adequate sanitation.

  • Countries would develop with Christian values, rejecting corruption that feeds poverty.

Pray for Communities

Communities have the best opportunity to develop when they recognize the needs around them and are prepared to work together.

Please pray that:

  • Reach Beyond’s community development teams would be guided towards thosecommunities that are ready to change and are willing to work together.

  • Communities would be open to the truths of the gospel.

  • Health would improve and infant mortality reduce with the provision of clean water, sanitation and hygiene promotion.

Pray for our Community Development Teams

Reach Beyond’s community development teams are made up of Christian engineers, technicians and health professionals. They are comprised of national and expat missionaries as well as local in-country staff. They intentionally apply their faith into their work and service and have many opportunities to share Christ with words and actions.

Please pray that:

  • Good relationships would be built with each community and for good cross-cultural communication. Projects may last from one to three years so there is significant opportunity to develop relationships and share Christ.

  • The teams would have wisdom, patience and insight as they work with rural and semi-urban communities who can have complex needs.

  • The teams would enjoy safety as they travel on dangerous roads, in small aircraft and in canoes to remote areas and in closed countries.

  • The teams would stay healthy as they spend time in villages where there is no access to safe water, sanitation and healthcare (at least at the start of the project!)
