Medical Electives

Medical Electives

Doctors and patientReach Beyond offers opportunities for medical, nursing and dental students to do medical electives in Ecuador or Ghana. This is mainly for students in their last year of study. For Ecuador a good knowledge of Spanish is required as it is necessary to be able to work independently in Spanish.

The Medical Electives opportunities are part of our Working Visitor programme. Working Visitors are qualified personnel who give between one month and a year to fill specific needs in medical, technical and support roles in the mission.

For more information read our Basic Requirements for Service and the Steps in the Application Process

If you are interested in doing a medical elective with Reach Beyond, complete the on-line Preliminary Information Form or contact us to discuss the opportunities for you. You will need to be self-supporting or willing to raise financial support as Reach Beyond does not pay a salary.
